Abstract

The purposes of this research were: 1) to study the using digital platforms to operate relationship between schools and communities; 2) to study the problems of using digital platforms to operate relationship between schools and communities; and 3) to propose guideline for using digital platforms to operate relationship between schools and communities. There were two research methods used in this study.  The first stage was to study the using digital platforms to operate relationship between schools and communities. The sample consisted of 122 school administrators under Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Primary Education Service Area Office 1, selected by stratified random sampling. The research instrument was questionnaire has a reliability value of 0.98. The second stage was to propose guideline for using digital platforms to operate relationship between schools and communities. The main participants consisted of 5 school administrators selected by purposive sampling method. The research instrument employed in this study was semi - structured interview and data analysis tool and analyzed via the content analysis method.                             


The results indicated that: 1) the overall condition of using digital platforms to operate the relationship between schools and communities is at a high level. The aspect with the highest average value is the aspect of building relationships with communities and other agencies, followed by the aspect of school public relations, and the aspect with the lowest average value is the aspect of receiving assistance and support from communities; 2) The problem of using digital platforms to operate the relationship between schools and communities is overall at a low level. The aspect with the highest average value is the aspect of building relationships with communities and other agencies, followed by the aspect of school public relations, and the aspect with the lowest average value is the aspect of receiving assistance and support from communities and 3) Guidelines for using digital platforms to operate relations between schools and communities consist of 4 aspects with 67 action items, divided into: School public relations work, with 14 action items, Community service work, with 12 action items, Community and other agency relationship building work, with 26 action items, and Community assistance and support work, with 15 action items.
