Abstract

This academic article aims to investigate the challenges of learning English in the 21st century, encompassing concepts and methods of English language acquisition. The skills and opportunities for learning English in the 21st century are crucial tools for empowering learners in a changing global society. The study reveals that people in Thailand face learning difficulties at all ages. Despite the Ministry of Education's efforts to enhance learners' English proficiency, the effectiveness of English language acquisition has not reached its desired level. When compared with other subjects, academic achievement in English appears to be at its lowest. The primary contributing factor identified is a lack of confidence, the ability to express ideas, and challenges in the learning environment, all of which pose significant obstacles to learning in the 21st century. Furthermore, learning is not confined to the classroom; it extends to various environments. Therefore, understanding how to employ effective learning strategies is crucial. This natural approach is essential for addressing challenges correctly in the 21st century, enabling learners to comprehend useful methods that lead to effective learning outcomes.
