สังคมใหญ่ เศรษฐกิจเสรี และรัฐที่เข้มแข็ง: โบเนเฟลด์กับการวิพากษ์เสรีนิยมแบบออร์โด

บทความนี้มุ่งนำเสนอแนวความคิดของสำนักคิดโอเพ่นมาร์กซิสม์ และมุ่งสร้างกรอบทฤษฎีเพื่อทำความเข้าใจเศรษฐกิจการเมืองร่วมสมัย บทความเสนอว่าแนวคิดโอเพ่นมาร์กซิสม์ของเวอร์เนอร์ โบเนเฟลด์มีความสำคัญและช่วยในการทำความเข้าใจเศรษฐกิจการเมืองร่วมสมัยได้ และเสนอทฤษฎีสำคัญของโบเนเฟลด์สามเรื่อง ได้แก่ แนวคิดเรื่อง “สังคมใหญ่” เศรษฐกิจเสรี และรัฐที่เข้มแข็ง โบเนเฟลด์ขับเน้นความสำคัญของแนวคิดดังกล่าวเพื่อมุ่งสร้างพื้นที่เชิงทฤษฎีที่รองรับ “ตัวแสดงที่เป็นมนุษย์ธรรมดา” และปฏิเสธมุมมองเกี่ยวกับสังคมเป็นกลไกและปฏิฐานนิยม โบเนเฟลด์เสนอว่าสังคมนั้นต้องเป็นองค์ประธานหลักของชีวิตทางสังคมของมนุษย์และมนุษย์เองต้องเป็นองค์ประธานหลักในการกำหนดความเป็นไปทางสังคม เศรษฐกิจ และการเมืองของมนุษย์เอง สำหรับโบเนเฟลด์นั้น สังคมเป็นจุดตั้งต้นในการวิเคราะห์ ส่วนเศรษฐกิจและรัฐมีบทบาทสำคัญร่วมกันในการสร้างสรรค์เศรษฐกิจของมนุษย์ ซึ่งเป็นระบบที่พยายามปลดปล่อยมนุษย์ออกจากความสัมพันธ์ทางสังคมแบบทุนนิยม และการบรรลุซึ่งเป้าหมายดังกล่าวนั้นก็เป็นหน้าที่ของเราทุกคน ผู้เป็นมนุษย์ธรรมดา
